Glee's executive producer Ian Brennan has admitted that rumours about guest stars on the show can get out of hand.
Speaking to Digital Spy at the Monte Carlo Television Festival, Brennan explained that he hasn't heard any more about reports that Anne Hathaway will have a cameo.
"I think the problem is that at press lines at any award show it became a popular question to ask people," he said.
"'Do you want to be on Glee?' And they'd be like, 'Yeah'. And then we'd be asked, 'Do you want them on Glee?' [It's like,] 'Well, yeah. I don't think it's going to happen...'"
However, Brennan described Hathaway as a "colossal talent" and added: "We'd be lucky to have her."
