Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz may have dated for three years, but when they filmed the R-rated comedy "Bad Teacher," they set out to make the sex scene as "uncomfortable" as possible.
"Bad Teacher" director Jake Kasdan told People magazine that the film contains the "most uncomfortable sex scene in history."
"They got in there and started doing it," Kasdan continued. "And it was so funny, we just couldn't stop shooting it. And we were doing it almost the whole day. And really crying, laughing at the [video] monitors."
Diaz, 38, agreed, telling the entertainment weekly of the (fully clothed) love making, "It was just [an] absurdity, a form of hilarity for all of us involved. We went to work that day and said, 'What time do we start being ridiculous? ... Eight o'clock? Perfect.'"
In the movie, Diaz plays Elizabeth Halsey, a foul-mouthed junior high teacher who tries to seduce a wealthy substitute teacher Scott Delacorte (Timberlake) after her sugar daddy dumps her. Her co-worker Amy Squirrel (Lucy Punch) also has her eye on Delacorte while the school's gym teacher, Russell Gettis (Jason Segel) makes advances on Diaz's character.
Diaz was romantically involved with Timberlake in real life from 2003 until 2006. The actress is currently dating New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod. Diaz recently laughed off rumors that the couple had broken up.
Timberlake went on to date actress Jessica Biel. In March, the two called it quits.
"I put my body on the line for this movie," Justin told Access Hollywood of the infamous scene. "It's a stunt, I mean, let's just call it what it is... Keanu Reeves jumps from a bus in 'Speed,' I dry humped!"
"That was called a safe sex PSA! ... There was a lot of laughter. We had a lot of fun doing that because it's just so absurd. And we committed to making it sort of the creepiest scene sex scene you've ever seen!" Diaz continued. "There's no chemistry between these two people, it's like your skin is kind of crawling."
The script was written by Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, who have collaborated on 15 scripts for "The Office," as well as the screenplays for "Year One" and the upcoming "Ghostbusters III" movie.
