Hamann Details Tuning Program for New BMW 6-Series Convertible, More to Come in Frankfurt


Earlier this year, BMW tuning specialist Hamann Motorsport teased its tuning program for the freshly launched 6-Series Convertible with the release of the first photos of the car.

Today, the German company gave out information on its initial offerings for the soft-top 6-Series and announced that it will unveil a more aggressive tune at the upcoming 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show this September.

Hamann Motorsports Accessorizes New BMW 6-Series


Life goes on for Hamann Motorsports after the death of its founder last week as the German tuning house has introduced its first set of accessories for the new BMW 6-Series Coupe and Convertible models. Hamann did not accompany the photos with a press release so we’re still short on details, but the pictures reveal several new alloy wheel designs as well as a new four-pipe exhaust system. R.I.P.: Richard Hamann, Founder of the Famous Tuning Firm Dies at Age 53


The founder of the well-known tuning firm Hamann Motorsport and racecar driver, Richard Hamann, passed away last week at the age of 53 after a long battle with a severe illness. The tuning company that bears his name issued this statement:

“Richard Hamann passed away after a severe illness. Owing him deep respect and gratitude, his untimely death is an enormous loss for us. The team of HAMANN Motorsport will always honour his memory and continues to run the business according to his wishes. Hamann Turns Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 into Victory II


German tuning firm Hamann decided it was time to update its Victory performance and styling package for the Lamborghini Gallardo and adapt it to the newer version of the Italian supercar, the LP560-4. The Victory II adds a flamboyant paint job along with a wide body kit and the not-so necessary, but apparently welcome by buyers, power upgrades.

Hamann and H&R Jointly Tune the Fiat 500 Abarth with 275HP


Tuning firms Hamman and H&R have joined forces to create a monster out of the Fiat 500 Abarth with an insane power boost to 275-horsepower.

Beginning with the engine bay, Hamann's engineers used forged pistons, enhanced connection rods, new camshafts and a modified turbocharger to increase the 1.4-liter petrol unit's peak output to an impressive 275 hp and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. That's 196.4 hp/liter, more than double of what is considered to be an excellent ratio.

Hamann Presents the BMW X5 Flash Evo M with up to 670HP


With 555 hp on tap, the stock BMW X5 M has enough power for most mortals, but Hamann disagrees, hence the birth of the Flash Evo M. Featuring an aggressive bodykit, the German tuner's version of the X5 M can be specified with one of two engines upgrades, delivering up to 670 hp, 22 or 23-inch alloys, tweaked suspension bits and bigger brakes. Various interior appointments are also available.

Hamann's Tuning Program for the New BMW 5-Series Sedan


If you're unimpressed by BMW's own M-Sport styling packages for the new 5-Series saloon, Hamann Motorsport's has launched its new tuning program for the midsize luxury sedan with an assortment of aero parts, chassis upgrades and interior enhancements.

For the car's looks, Hamann has readied a bodykit that consists of an adjustable front lip spoiler, new front bumper trim with built-in daytime running LEDs, sculptured side skirts, a rear apron with an integrated diffuser, a not so elegant boot lid spoiler and for those that don't mind going overboard, an additional roof spoiler.
