'Transformers' Scoop: Steven Spielberg Got Megan Fox Fired

Steven Spielberg is one of the nicest guys in Hollywood, with nothing but kind words to say about everyone, right? Except, apparently, Megan Fox.

The brunette bombshell didn't just piss off the entire crew on the first two 'Transformers' films, she drew Spielberg's wrath with her well-publicized comment comparing Michael Bay director to Hitler.

That was apparently the last straw, as Bay tells GQ: "Steven [Spielberg] said, "Fire her right now."

Shia LaBeouf , who's still on board the monster-sized franchise, takes Bay's side, natch. "Criticism is one thing. Then there's public name-calling, which turns into high school bashing. Which you can't do. She started s**t-talking our captain," he tells the magazine in its July issue.

Bay himself, who's known for being extremely tough on his cast, didn't seem to take offense. "I wasn't hurt, because I know that's just Megan. Megan loves to get a response. And she does it in kind of the wrong way. I'm sorry, Megan. I'm sorry I made you work twelve hours. I'm sorry that I'm making you show up on time. Movies

are not always warm and fuzzy."

Hey, no one's ever mistaken Bay, or his epic-scale movies for being "warm and fuzzy."

Fox was fired from the third film, and replaced by model Rosie Huntington-Whitely, for whom the team has nothing but praise. "

Producer Ian Bryce tells GQ, "Rosie has done an enormously wonderful job for being a newcomer."

One of the big differences between her and Fox (apart from their hair color)?

"Rosie came in and she would say hello to the crew. She would acknowledge the crew. She'd say thank you," notes Bay.

As for Huntington-Whitely, the model/actress says she is "really grateful to everybody, from the people on the catering department to the camera boys to the producers to Shia."
