Natalie Portman has a baby boy

Natalie Portman and boyfriend Benjamin Millepied have welcomed a baby boy. This is the actress’s first child, Us Weekly reports.

Natalie Portman, 30, and Benjamin Millepied, 33 have met on the set while shooting the movie Black Swan. Natalie was the main star of the film and Benjamin was the choreographer and the co-star. They fell in love at first sight, as a source tells Us Magazine: “It was seductive to watch them. There was no way the attraction could be missed. I don't think he could help himself -- she's dazzling.”

Natalie announced her engagement in December of 2010 and her baby bump showed off during the 2011 awards season. Usually a private star, she opened up about her fiancée and her pregnancy. She joked about the character that Millepied played in the movie ( a guy that doesn’t want to sleep with her) It's not true!" she laughed. "He totally wants to sleep with me!” At the Academy Awards on February 27, 2011, while accepting the Best Actress trophy, she also said that he gave her the most important role in her life – that of a mother. After that famous night they both took some time off, away from the crowded city life. They retreated to the Napa Valley. “They were really low-key” a source told Us Mag.

Portman had a huge success on the big screen this year. Besides the triumph with the Black Swan, she scored a hit with the role in Thor, which was premiered this April, and with the comedy No Strings Attached, premiered almost half a year ago, in January.

Regarding the pregnancy period she admitted she is confused. Being the firt baby she did not know what to expect. “One of the most exciting things about being pregnant is that I'm accepting the complete unknown. It's a complete mystery and miracle.” Natalie had said in February.

While trying to get pregnant, the Hollywood star confessed on a radio show in April that she gave up on her vegan diet, but while pregnant she returned to her previous eating habits. “I was listening to my body to have eggs and dairy and that sort of stuff” she explained.
