Kate Hudson's friends threw her a baby shower in Malibu, California yesterday (05.06.11).
The 'Something Borrowed' star - who is expecting a baby with her fiance, Muse rocker Matt Bellamy - was joined by pals including Courteney Cox, Nicole Richie and Rachel Zoe for a relaxed, family friendly party where guests attempted to guess the name of the baby.
A source told US magazine: "It was a family-friendly party with kids of all ages running around. Nicole Richie was there with her kids and they were having a great time playing outside.
"Guests played tons of baby shower games. The best one was where people tried to guess what Kate and Matthew should name the baby. It was hilarious and got a lot of laughs out of everyone! It was such a fun party -- and people stayed for hours.
However, Kate is refusing to reveal the sex of the baby, forcing hostesses Jen Meyer, wife of Tobey Maguire and '90210' actress Sara Foster to decorate the venue with pink, blue and yellow ribbons.
Kate, 32 - who already has a seven-year-old son Ryder with her ex-husband Chris Robinson - has previously revealed she hadn't planned on having a second child before her 33rd birthday next April.
She explained: "We just let destiny take its course. I actually didn't want a second child before my 33rd birthday."
