Opel plans to cut 1,200 jobs in Bochum plant
Opel plans to cut 1,200 jobs at its plant in Bochum, Germany, and will give workers notice May 1, the head of the company's works council has said. Last year the company attempted to reduce the Bochum workforce by 1,800 positions through voluntary departures but only 600 staff accepted the proposal.
