Opel/Vauxhall will offer an eight-year warranty for the battery system on its new Ampera plug-in hybrid. Opel has received 3,000 pre-orders for the Ampera, which goes on sale in Europe in November priced at 42,900 euros, including 1,000 deposits from private buyers. >
